Mohamad Saad
Principal

My name is Mohamad Saad. I joined AJIS MBZ in August 2018 as school principal. My journey in education started in 1988 when I first taught English language to grade 5 in Beirut. Since then, I’ve been in the education sector for more than 30 years, both as a teacher and senior administrator.

My last 14 years have been in senior management: program manager/interim campus director, business manager, and principal in international schools, local schools with international programs, government body, and higher education institute. I believe in having strong teams within the school as the key to building a successful school; teams that have the same commitments to excellence, success, and achievement.

In this regard, I’m lucky to have such a great leadership team at AJIS. I hold a BA (Ed) in English language and literature teaching, Lebanese University 1992 and a PGD in Finance and Accounting, University of Liverpool 2012. I hold an MBA in (Educational) Leadership, University of Northampton 2016 (with distinction).

Manal Azouqa
Vice Principal & Head of Secondary

My name is Manal Azouqa and I am delighted to be the School Vice Principal and Head of Secondary at Ajyal International School.

My professional teaching endeavors in the education field began in 1989. I consider my professional experience to be well rounded; from an economics and business studies teacher of IGCSE, A-level and Advanced placement (AP) to regional head of economics and business studies. In my 27 years of teaching experience, prior to coming to Ajyal School I spent the last fifteen years as the regional Head of economics & business studies in one of the UAE’s leading schools.

I now proudly serve as a School vice Principal and Secondary Principal where I hope to continue to make a positive impact on students’ academics and attainment achievements, in the hope to foster a lifelong love for learning.

I enjoy travelling, experiencing different cultures, and keeping up with the global economic developments.

I have lived in the UAE for 20 years. I met my husband, Ahmed here shortly after I arrived & we have been together ever since. We live in Abu Dhabi city with our dog Setanta. I have enjoyed living in Abu Dhabi so much that I convinced my siblings to move here too with their families. We spend lots of family time together enjoying the various activities around UAE.
