Having entrusted your children to us to get an education, you have taken one of the most important decisions of your lives. We know your children spend a considerable amount of time at school every day, and we understand how hard that decision must have been for you to send them away every day. We appreciate your trust in us to deliver the best for your children, and we aim to do just that! We believe that the moment your child sets foot in the school on their first day, they are not really at school, but they are at their second home now, with a second family! This is exactly what we would like you as parents to feel as well.
As part of upholding these second family ties, we are excited to launch our Weekly Blog on our website and also through our weekly email newsletters. We believe it will be a direct window into the school for you that intends to provide you an insider’s look at what goes on at school and how we engage with our students throughout the year. In our upcoming blogs, we promise to bring you special insights on the teaching and learning process: through interviews with your children’s teachers, a sneak-peak of their daily activities in class, updates on different competitions, sports, extra-curricular activities, and much more. In other blog posts, we will introduce you to the supporting staff at school who tirelessly and selflessly assist your children with different tasks such as the Teaching Assistants, Admissions Staff, the School Bus Drivers and Bus Monitors, Security Personnel, etc. We’d love for you to be acquainted with all facets of the school life in order to have that comfort and peace of mind.
We’d like you to be an important part of your child’s second family, and we think these blog posts will help us achieve that. Additionally, when you’re aware of everything at school, it would be easier to have more productive discussions with you on how to make improvements.

What happened this week?
Eight of our highly talented students made us all very proud this week! These eight students along with their STEM and ICT teacher, Ms Doaa, enrolled in the highly anticipated STEM competition called ‘Formula Ethara at Home’ organized by the ‘YAS in Schools’ initiative. The students had to design and race their own reliable and functional Formula 1 miniature cars. We are delighted to share with you that our students won this competition and have been selected for the final races! Ms. Doaa was extremely proud and excited for the team, which consisted of: Naser Fahed (4C), Memyar Muhammad (4E), Shaikha Mohamed (6C), Mahafouz (6A), Zayed Saeed (6A), Rayan Ahmed (6A) and Jumaa Suhail (6A). She also informed that “our students are supposed to receive packs of resources to build their car design this week”. We wish them all the best in their upcoming Top 50 Race Off competition!

يسعدنا و يشرفنا إطلاق مدونتنا الأسبوعية على موقعنا الإلكتروني وأيضا من خلال نشراتنا الأسبوعية عبر البريد الإلكتروني حيث أنها ستكون نافذة مباشرة على المدرسة بالنسبة لكم والتي تهدف إلى تزويدكم بنظرة من الداخل على ما يجري في المدرسة وكيفية تفاعلنا مع طلابنا على مدار العام الدراسي. في مدوناتنا القادمة، نعد بأن نقدم لكم رؤى خاصة حول عملية التدريس والتعلم: من خلال المقابلات مع معلمي أطفالكم، والتسلل إلى ذروة أنشطتهم اليومية في الصف، والأخبار حول المسابقات المختلفة، والرياضة، والأنشطة اللاصفية، و أكثر بكثير. و سوف نقدم لكم في المنشورات الأخرى فريق الدعم في المدرسة الذين يساعدون أطفالكم بلا كلل في مهام مختلفة مثل مساعدي التدريس، وموظفي التسجيل، وسائقي الحافلات المدرسية ومشرفات الحافلات، وموظفي الأمن. نود أن تكونوا على دراية بجميع جوانب الحياة المدرسية من أجل الاطمئنان وراحة البال.

ماذا حدث هذا الاسبوع؟
ثمانية من طلابنا الموهوبين جعلونا جميعاً فخورين جداً هذا الأسبوع!
التحق هؤلاء الطلاب الثمانية مع مدرسة العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات STEM، الأستاذة دعاء، في مسابقة العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات التي طال انتظارها والتي تسمى “فورمولا إثارة في المنزل” التي نظمتها مبادرة “YAS ” في المدارس حيث كان على الطلاب أن يصمموا سياراتهم المصغرة و العملية من الفورمولا 1 . يسعدنا أن نشارككم فوز طلابنا بهذه المسابقة حيث تم اختيارهم لخوض للسباقات النهائية! كانت الأستاذة دعاء فخورة ومتحمسة للغاية للفريق الذي تألف من: ناصر فهد (Year 4E) ، ميار محمد (Year 4B) ، شيخة محمد (Year 6C) ، محفوظ أوغونو (Year 6A) ، زايد سعيد (Year 6A) ، ريان أحمد (Year 6A) وجمعة سهيل (Year 6A). و من المفترض أن يتلقى طلابنا حزماً من الموارد لتصميم سياراتهم هذا الأسبوع. نتمنى لهم كل التوفيق في مسابقة Top 50 Race Off القادمة!
